2026 Okinawa BALOO Training

Dates: October 2–3, 2026
Time: October 2 at 6:00 PM – October 3 at 3:00 PM
Location: Camp Lester Scout Hut, Okinawa, Japan

Cost of Training

Participants: $15.00

Registration includes:

• One night of camping
• Friday night Cracker Barrel
• Saturday breakfast
• Saturday lunch
• BALOO training

Friday Dinner: Dinner on Friday evening is not included. Please eat dinner before arriving at BALOO or bring your own dinner with you.

Required Pre-Requisite Training

All participants must complete the BALOO Pre-Requisite Online Course prior to attending the in-person training.

The BALOO Appendix is available under the attachments section of the registration page. Please make sure you have either physical or digital access to this document during the training.

What to Expect

BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation) is designed to introduce Cub Scout leaders to the skills needed to plan and conduct a safe and successful Cub Scout camping experience.

This is an overnight training course, and participants should come prepared to camp Friday night.
