The Great Rivers Trailhead Leadership Program is a leadership and training development experience designed specifically for Scouting parents. This program equips adults with the confidence, skills, and understanding needed to effectively support youth leadership, strengthen units, and advance the mission of Scouting.
What You’ll Learn
Participants will explore leadership skills rooted in Scouting values, including:
- Understanding youth-led leadership
- Supporting unit leadership teams
- Effective communication and mentorship
- Encouraging growth, responsibility, and confidence in youth
- Strengthening family and parent engagement in Scouting

A Pathway Forward
Trailhead Leadership serves as an introduction to Scouting leadership concepts used throughout Scouting, focuses on Required Adult Training, and complements advanced training such as Wood Badge.
