Embark on the ultimate winter adventure!
Join us for the Cub Scout Iditarod, a thrilling day of winter competition for all Cub Scouts in the Ohio River Valley District! Brave the frosty challenges and race against fellow Cub Scouts in a series of exciting, scout-themed competitions designed to mimic the spirit of Alaska's legendary sled dog race. Prepare for a day of frosty fun, friendly rivalry, and unforgettable memories as you conquer the cold and race towards the finish line!

WHEN: 7:30AM-7:30PM, January 31, 2026
- Event Check-In, Trail Mix Bar: 7:30AM – 8:30AM, Dining Hall
- Flag Raising, Opening Ceremony: 8:50AM, Parade Field
- Iditarod Morning Block: 9:00AM – 11:50AM, Parade Field
- Lunch: 12:00PM – 1:30PM, Cook in campsite
- Iditarod Afternoon Block: 2:00PM - 4:00PM
- Flag Lowering: 4:50PM, Parade Field
- Dinner: 5:00PM, Dining Hall
- Award Ceremony: 6:00PM, Dining Hall

To ensure a smooth start, please plan to arrive and check in between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM.
ATTENDENCE REQUIREMENTS: For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, all Lion and Tiger Cub Scouts must be accompanied by a guardian throughout the event. Cub Scouts in 2nd grade and above have the option to attend with their pack.
ARROW OF LIGHT (AOL) SCOUTS: AOL Scouts have a special opportunity to choose their adventure! They can opt to participate in the Cub Scout Iditarod or the Scout Klondike Derby. Those choosing the Klondike Derby may also opt to camp overnight with a guardian or join an eligible Pack or Troop. SAFETY FIRST: Always follow two-deep leadership and Safeguarding Youth Guidelines while on property or any Scouting America campout or event.
MEALS AND DINING: While assorted snacks and dinner will be provided prior to the award ceremony, please note that packs and parents are responsible for providing breakfast and lunch for their Scouts. Cooking should take place in the designated Iditarod campsite area or with another Troop.
