IOLS/BALOO

Event Details

BALOO is a leader training for all Cub Scout Leaders and parents that want to be ready for outdoor activities.

“At least one adult on a pack overnighter must have completed Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation” - Guide to Safe Scouting

This training is highly recommended for all Cub Scout Leaders, and it is an optional requirement for a Den Leader if you are working on your Den Leader Training Award knot.  This training will be a hands-on training experience for Cub Scout Leaders.

IOLS is a leader training for all Webelo, Arrow of Light and Troop Leaders and volunteers that want to be ready for outdoor activities.

To safely offer Scouting’s outdoor program, however, you need a certain set of skills and knowledge – and that’s why you’re required to take Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (also known as “IOLS”) Training.

Uniform?

The official Boy Scout Leader uniform is recommended to be worn while taking the course.

Equipment?

All registered will receive a list of equipment and personal items necessary to bring via email.  You will be required to furnish your own tent.
