Camp Meriwether 100 Year Celebration – Scouting America Summer Camp

Celebrate 100 Years of Discovery at Camp Meriwether!
Join us in honoring a century of Scouting at Camp Meriwether, one of Oregon's most iconic camps on the breathtaking Pacific coast! Since 1926, Camp Meriwether has inspired generations of Scouts with its unforgettable oceanfront setting, towering coastal forests, and classic Scouting adventures.
A Century of Scouting Spirit
This special centennial year offers the chance to experience all the camp’s best programs, from archery and rock climbing to tide-pooling and beach bonfires under the stars. Plus, we’re planning exclusive anniversary events, including historical exhibits, reunion gatherings, and a commemorative campfire program, honoring a century of Scout spirit.
Camp Meriwether was named after Meriwether Lewis of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Today, Camp Meriwether remains a beloved destination for Scouts looking to experience the wonders of Oregon’s rugged coastline and immerse themselves in outdoor skills and character-building activities.

Provisional Scouts - Rover Camp
For Scouts unable to join their troop for summer camp or those who desire an extra week of adventure, there's an exciting opportunity: Rover Camp. Individual Scouts can sign up for a dedicated Rover Camp week, where they'll connect with fellow provisional Scouts upon arrival and form a cohesive Rover Troop. Adult leadership is provided by the camp. Operating akin to a regular Scout Troop, Rover Troops engage in the full spectrum of summer camp activities, ensuring every Rover Scout experiences the same thrill and camaraderie as they would with their home troop.
Rover camp is offered during Session 5 (July 26 -Aug 1) and Session 6 (August 2 - 7).
