Summer Cuboree 2026

Summer What? Summerween! The Staff at our Camp love Halloween so much we celebrate it twice a year!
Join us at Camp Durant from July 19–22 for “Summerween,” a one-of-a-kind Cub Scout adventure where spooky fun meets summer excitement! This action-packed four-day experience includes two full days of program—an exciting upgrade from last year—giving Scouts even more time to explore, learn, and have fun.
Participants will enjoy a wide range of activities, including swimming at our waterfront, BB shooting, archery, climbing, crafts, and more. The highlight of the week will be our Sunday night Carnival, where the Summerween spirit truly comes to life with games, costumes, and festive fun for all ages.
This year’s program is designed with intention, featuring rotations by Den to maximize each Scout’s time in every program area and ensure a well-rounded experience. We are also excited to offer a dedicated Arrow of Light (AOL) program, tailored specifically for 5th graders as they prepare for their next adventure into Scouts BSA. This program will focus on building confidence, skills, and excitement for the journey ahead.
Camp Durant boasts excellent facilities, including a fully air-conditioned Grand Lodge Dining Hall that seats 700, a full-service Trading Post and Grill, and premier program areas such as the Rawl Ecology Center, Blue Cross Blue Shield Activity Field, and the C. Harrison Smith Aquatics Center. With 15 campsites equipped with shelters, electricity, and modern shower houses, families can enjoy a comfortable and memorable camping experience.
This unforgettable week is sure to spark creativity, laughter, and fellowship among all who attend. Come experience the magic of Summerween at Camp Durant!
