2024 Solar Eclipse Event 

Cost: $25 per person 

Who: Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturers, Explorers, Sea Scouts, and Non-Scout Family Members 

What: Weekend Campout, open to all Scouters, celebrating the Solar Eclipse event taking place on Monday April 8th 2024 - the last solar eclipse event for the next 20 years!

Where: S- F Scout Ranch @ Famous Eagle 

When: April 5th to 8th 2024 (staying to Monday is optional!) 

If you want to attend just during the day on Monday April 8th, pay $10 per person

The event is under 72 hours in length (no need for medical form part C, just A &B)

Overall Description: STEM Activities, Scout Skills, Campfire Program, Amazing Race Competition, Climbing & Rappelling, boating, merit badge workshops, and even a dance party!

Monday will feature special solar eclipse activities, and a viewing of the eclipse of course! Don't want to stay until Monday? That’s okay! Stay for just the weekend. Want to come only for Monday? There’s that option too! 

Units/families are responsible for their own meals, camping gear, and age appropriate adult leadership

Registration Types:

Weekend attendee youth or adult - $25 if you stay the entire week or just a portion the cost is still $25 

Monday Only day attendance $10

Provisional Youth Option: only for those 14yrs+ -  There will be a Provisional Unit available for Venturers, Sea Scouts, Explorers, and Scouts BSA that are 14 years or older. This is an option for Crew 2783 & Crew 627 who are providing the adult/youth leadership for this program; and to anyone with less than four youth attending who cannot provide adequate adult leadership as a unit.

Weekend Staff: The Staff option is only for those staffing the majority of the weekend, camping as a staff group, and eating the Quartermaster Meal Plan.
