Automotive Maintenance Merit Badge

 

What? This workshop will be presented on the morning of February 22, 2025, and is hosted by Affinity Automotive Services. This class will present the scouts with information and guidance pertaining to the Automotive Maintenance merit badge, The instructor for this workshop is an Automotive ASE Master Technician with Affinity Automotive Services.  Automotive Maintenance is about the scout learning the life skills and responsibility to own and maintain a modern automobile. Information presented and classroom activities performed will prepare the scout to meet the Automotive Maintenance merit badge requirements and have a better understanding of vehicle maintenance. 

*Note: This workshop will present information covering all requirements, scouts will need to bring a vehicle owner’s manual and registration information for requirement 2i. This will prepare the scout for a productive merit badge session to fulfill those requirements. There will be a limited number of Automotive Maintenance merit badge counselors available after the workshop to work individually with the Scouts to facilitate “blue card” sign offs of these requirements, or the Scouts can take their notes and work with a local merit badge counselor. 

When/Where? Saturday, February 22, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 2606 West Pawnee St, Wichita, KS 

Cost? Registration fee is $10.00 per Scout. $5.00 per Adult. Lunch will be provided! The last day to register online is Friday, February 7th. 

Refunds? Refunds are not available but are transferable to another Scout on the same Booked registration. 

Registration? This event is open to the first 25 Scouts, accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis of paid pre-registration. Registrations and payments for all Quivira Council events are now online!  Please check the Quivira Council Website (www.quivira.org) for updates & links to registration.  Online payment is required and can be made by credit card or electronic check.
