Cub Scout Engineering Advancements & Swimming at SCCC

Santa Fe Trail District Cub Scout Engineering Day & Swimming "Lock-In"

@ Seward County Community College

This Santa Fe Trail District Cub Day will be located at the SCCC in Liberal and will be an opportunity for Cub Scouts to earn 7 Loops or pins. Make sure Cub Scouts bring their handbooks!

Tiger (Designed by Tiger)
Wolf (Air of the Wolf)
Bear (Baloo the Builder)
Webelos (Build It, Modular Design)
Arrow of Light (Engineer).   

The Swim Lock-in will provide an opportunity for Cub Scouts of all Ranks to earn their Swimming advancements.   Lions (Time to Swim), Tiger (Tigers in the Water), Wolf (Paws for Water), Bear (Samon Run) Webelos (Aquanaut) and Arrow of Light (Swimming)

  • Schedule for the Day: (this is an all day event- everyone is required to bring BSA Medical form A & B)
    • 7:00-7:45am:          Check-In
    • 7:50-8:00am:           Flags in the student Union
    • 8:00am-12:00pm:    Advancement work
    • 12:00 - 1:00pm:       Lunch (included with registration)
    • 1:00 - 4:30pm:         Advancement work
    • 4:30 – 5:00pm:        Clean up and Check out if leaving
    • 5:15 - 5:30pm:         OR stay and check-in for Swimming Advancements at the pool.                                                                                          (Engineering advancements ending at 5pm)
    • 5:30 - 6:30pm:        Dinner (available on-site with additional fee)
    • 6:30 - 7:45pm:        Handbook & Pool requirements     
    • 8:30 - 10:00pm:      Pool fun, or check-out (advancements will end at 7:45pm)
    • 10:30pm:                Check-out if not camping out                                                                                                                                             (Overnight camping, indoor or outdoor, is available.  Make sure to check the options during registration.)
    • 11:00pm:                "Lock-in" & start winding down No more exits after this time.

Supervision:     All Packs must have Two-Deep leadership in accordance with Youth Protection Guidelines and ALL adults must have current Youth Protection Training.  All Lion and Tigers will be required to have their own guardian in accordance with Youth Protection.

The registration fee is $20* per Cub Scout, which includes the program supplies, lunch. Supper is offered at a self-pay rate of $7 per person through the line of the cafeteria.  Adult fee is $10* per person. *Lunch is included. (Price increases by $5.00 if registration is not completed by Feb. 5th)

Pre-registration is required.  No walk-ins allowed.  Online payment is required via credit card or electronic check.  REGISTRATION CLOSES - Friday, February 14TH by 12pm (Noon).
