Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation Specifics Training

This one and one-half day course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for those leaders (Cubmasters, Ass’t. Cubmasters, Den leaders, other pack leaders, and parents) who are interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities. BALOO is an instructor-led course that is conducted at the Council level. BSA's Cub Scout level camping policies will be taught along with the necessary tools to help units carry out a successful camping experience.

Completion of this course is mandatory for at least one adult on a Pack overnighter.

Friday-Saturday, May 5-6 - 1400 N Main McPherson, KS.  The weekend will begin with a 5:00 pm Check-In Friday evening with the class beginning promptly at 6:00 pm. We plan to conclude the course by 6:00 PM Saturday.

$29 per person. Refunds are not available but may be transferred to another leader under the same registration.

Saturday lunch will be provided.

The deadline to reserve a seat for the class will be 5:00 PM Fri, April 28, 2023.    Registration is online only.  Online payment is required and can be made by credit card or electronic check.

What to Bring? Scout Field Uniform, clothing commensurate to weather, rain gear, tent, sleeping pad or cot, flashlight, personal items kit, pocket knife, personal First Aid kit, chair, mess kit, a cup, a can-do attitude, and a smile.

Liability, as well as Sickness and Accident Insurance, are provided for all registered BSA members of Quivira Council
