The 29th Annual

Eskimo Run – for all Cub Scouts

Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022

What is it?   Eskimo Run, sponsored by White Buffalo District, is a fun activity for all registered Cub Scouts in Quivira Council. This one-day Winter Olympics event provides youth a chance to be active in the outdoors during the winter, competing at several activities and games.

Activities?   Scouts from each pack should form teams of 4-5 youth to participate (different ages / ranks can join in one den for the day). Each team needs to bring their own sled (ones with runners are the best). Because this activity is designed for winter weather, be sure to dress appropriately: wear a hat/gloves, dress in layers, & wear proper footwear (no sneakers in snow/rain). Each person should bring a refillable cup & a sack lunch, or cash for the Klondike Kafe (snacks, hot chocolate, etc.). Only Cub Scouts are allowed to participate in the events. Troop Scouters and Adult Scout leaders will staff the event; adult partners, especially of Lion-Wolf Cubs, heavily encouraged to assist their Cubs.

When & Where?  Saturday, February 5, 2022. Check-in begins at 8:30a.m. Activities will begin at 9:00a.m. and will conclude at noon. This is an all-weather event, so please Be Prepared. Event will be held at Lake Afton Park Pavilion (look for the signs). Pack leaders are responsible for coordinating transportation: please arrive and depart together. Please have 1 leader per Pack check in, to avoid congestion at the check-in table inside the Lake Afton Park Pavilion (look for the signs).

All packs must have paid, two-deep leadership in accordance with Youth Protection Guidelines, and all adults must have completed Youth Protection Training.

Cost?  $8/Cub Scout and $6/registered Adult (includes event activities and patch), through January 8, 2022. After January 8, 2022, fees increase to $9 per Scout and $7 per registered Adult.

Last day to register online is SATURDAY, JANUARY 29TH.

Refunds are not available, but fees are transferable to another Scout or Adult.   This is an All-Weather event so Please Be Prepared!
