AN EARTH SCIENCE STEM ADVENTURE DAY

Saturday, MAY 2ND, 2026 @ Exploration Place


This Quivira Council STEM Adventures Day will be located at Exploration Place in Wichita, and will be an opportunity for Cub Scouts to get hands on experience doing the Earth Science branch of STEM!

The day consists of two, one-hour rotations of STEM activities appropriate to the ranks of each Cub Scout, one movie in the Dome Theater, one Live Science Show, and an opportunity to interact with the Exhibits, allowing your Cub Scouts to complete all the requirements for the STEM Adventure Elective belt-loop for the Engineering thread and for rank advancement.

When & Where?: Saturday, MAY 2ND at Exploration Place in Wichita at 300 N McLean, 67203.

**Schedule can be adjusted as needed

Supervision: All Packs must have two-deep leadership in accordance with Youth Protection Guidelines and ALL adults must have be current on their Youth Protection Training. There will be very limited seating for adults in class sessions. Packs will be allowed two leaders per classroom unless there is space available. All adults are welcome to all shows and to tour all the exhibits.

Registration fee is ($30) per Cub Scout (ALL Ranks Lion to AOLs).  Adult fee is ($10) per person, giving access to all shows. Lunch is NOT included. Units can bring sack lunches in coolers, or purchase food from concessions or use local businesses.    

Pre-registration is required. No registration at doors. Online payment is required and may be made by credit card or electronic check. Please be sure to get with Unit’s Leadership to get registered. LAST DAY TO REGISTER - Wednesday, APRIL 29TH, 2026No phone or paper registrations are allowed.

Adventure Elective Belt Loop Award: For this activity, each Unit is responsible for tracking the requirements completed by each Cub and for purchasing the appropriate Belt Loop Award for each Cub. Tracking papers will be provided for the day's activities.
