Two Separate Youth Programs
Cub Scout Program

A fun, active introduction to popcorn sales designed especially for Cub Scouts. Cubs will build confidence through games, demonstrations, and short practice sessions.
- Learn how popcorn helps fund their Scouting adventures
- Set a simple, achievable personal sales goal
- Create and practice a short sales pitch
- Learn the products and identify a favorite to recommend
- Practice courtesy, eye contact, speaking clearly, and saying thank you
- Role-play door-to-door and storefront selling situations
Scouts BSA Program
Salesmanship Merit Badge
Scouts BSA members will participate in structured Salesmanship Merit Badge instruction while applying those skills to the 2026 popcorn sale.
- Explore the traits and responsibilities of an effective salesperson
- Develop and present a customer-focused popcorn sales pitch
- Practice approaching customers and answering questions
- Learn how to respond respectfully to objections and close a sale
- Set goals and discuss ways to track sales progress
- Complete role-play activities tied to merit badge skills
For Leaders & Parents
Learn what you need to know about the 2026 popcorn sale, including important dates, expectations, incentives, prizes, and other essential information. We’ll also make time to answer your questions.
Fun Extras
We’ll reveal this year’s prize options, provide goodies for Scouts to take home, and offer a chance to enter a drawing!
At least one leader from each unit must participate for the unit to qualify for commission.
The Cub Scout program and the Scouts BSA merit badge program are separate youth tracks. Salesmanship Merit Badge requirements must be completed as written and verified by an approved merit badge counselor. Participation alone does not guarantee completion of the merit badge.
