2026 Konza District Fall Camporee

SCOUTGIVING - November 13–15, 2026

Join the Konza District at Brown Memorial Camp (Camp Brown) for a weekend of outdoor cooking, patrol teamwork, and Scouting fellowship! Scouts will explore cooking skills at Saturday activity stations, take part in a patrol competition, and gather for a camp-wide Scoutgiving dinner.

Event Details

• Location: Brown Memorial Camp
• Check-in: Friday, November 13, from 6:00–9:00 p.m. at the Eagle Pavilion at the Climbing Tower. Units may set up camp after checking in.
• Sunday checkout: Begins at 9:30 a.m. All units must depart by 11:30 a.m. on November 15.
• Registration closes: Wednesday, November 11, at 11:59 p.m.

Who Can Attend?

Arrow of Light Scouts, Scouts BSA youth, Venturing youth, Sea Scouts, and registered adult leaders are invited to participate. Arrow of Light dens or patrols must attend with two-deep leadership from their den, patrol, or pack. All adults attending must be registered in a Scouting America program and current in Safeguarding Youth Training.

Registration Fees

Registrations after November 1 add $5 per person. Register by November 1 to receive the lower rate; final registration closes November 11 at 11:59 p.m.

Saturday Cooking Activities & Patrol Competition

Saturday features stations covering a variety of cooking topics, followed by a patrol competition from 2:30–3:30 p.m. Units will then have time to cook and prepare their contributions to the evening meal. The final station schedule and location map will be provided at Friday evening's leadership meeting.

Saturday's Scoutgiving Fellowship Dinner

Come together for a Thanksgiving-style dinner with Scouts and leaders from across the district. Meat will be provided. Each unit must prepare at least one side dish or dessert in camp to share. Side dishes should serve 40–50 people. Please label your serving vessel.

• 5:00 p.m.: One Scout from each troop reports to the Dining Center to assist with final meal preparations (KP duty).
• 5:45 p.m.: Units deliver their dishes to the Dining Center.
• 6:00 p.m.: Closing flags.
• 6:10–7:30 p.m.: Scoutgiving dinner.

Adult volunteers are requested to help with meal preparation, serving, and cleanup. Everyone must bring their own plates, cups, and utensils and wash them at their campsite afterward. Units are responsible for all other meals.

What Units Need to Prepare

• Charcoal: Bring one 10-pound bag per unit and turn it in at Friday evening's leadership meeting.
• Cooking supplies: Bring the food and equipment needed for unit meals and your shared dish, plus your own firewood for the weekend.
• Health forms: Bring completed Parts A and B for every attendee. Forms must be turned in to the camp medical officer at check-in and collected at checkout.
• Food allergies: Notify event leadership before the event about any Scout or leader food allergies.
• Friday leadership meeting: The Senior Patrol Leader, Chaplain's Aide, and one Scoutmaster must attend the 9:30 p.m. meeting and cracker barrel in the Dining Center.

Sunday & Checkout

Sunday's morning flag ceremony and Scout Vespers begin at 9:00 a.m. Checkout runs from 9:30–11:30 a.m. Units leaving Saturday may check out from 7:30–8:30 p.m. All units must check out with Camporee staff in the Dining Center before departing. Medical forms will be returned and patches provided after the campsite is inspected and cleared.
