Thanksgiving Cooking Challenge
Get ready for a weekend of outdoor adventure, teamwork, and great food at the Konza District Fall Camporee. This years theme centers on fall cooking challenges that give Scouts an opportunity to practice their outdoor cooking skills, express their creativity, and work together as patrols and troops.
Patrol Outdoor Cooking Challenge
Throughout the weekend, patrols and troops will plan, prepare, and present dishes using outdoor cooking methods. Friendly cooking contests will feature categories such as:
- Pies and other desserts
- Fall comfort foods
- Seasonal favorites
- Creative outdoor cooking techniques
Saturdays Thanksgiving Fellowship Meal
The highlight of the weekend will be a districtwide Thanksgiving fellowship meal in the dining hall. Camp staff will prepare turkey and ham, while participating troops contribute dishes created during the cooking challenge.
Scouts and leaders from across the district will come together for a memorable celebration of Scouting, food, friendship, and fellowship.
