Join us for a free day of fishing, friendship, and outdoor adventure at the Konza District Cub Scout Fishing Derby! Cub Scouts, prospective Scouts, and their families are invited to attend.

Stop by anytime during the event, cast a line, enjoy lunch, and discover what makes Cub Scouting an adventure for the entire family.

• Date: Sunday, September 6, 2026
• Time: 7:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
• Location: Jerry Dishman Pond at Frank Anneberg Park, Manhattan, Kansas
• Admission: Free
• Arrival: Show up anytime between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

What Is Provided?

• Lunch featuring hot dogs, chips, and water or lemonade
• Fishing poles for participants who do not have their own
• Tackle and bait to use while fishing
• A fun outdoor experience for the whole family

Free Fishing Pole for New Scouts

New Konza Cub Scouts who join during August or September will receive a new fishing pole setup of their own.

Registration

There is no registration fee for this event. Advance registration is encouraged so event organizers can prepare enough food, supplies, and fishing equipment for everyone.
