2025 Camporee – A Simpler Time

In 1961 the Denver Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America purchased the 2,500-acre Peaceful Valley Ranch from the Abrahamson family. Construction began in 1961, and the ranch opened to campers in 1965.

We celebrate 60 years of campers at McNeil Scout Ranch at Peaceful Valley.  We are going back to the time when camp was shiny and new.  A simpler time.  Although names have changed, structures have been built, staff has come and gone, one thing remains the same – the Scouting Spirit.

Join us September 26th – 28th at McNeil Scout Ranch at Peaceful Valley for the 2025 Camporee.  Camporee is a weekend campout experience for all Troops, Crews and Posts.  Scouts will compete in various competitions that test their Scout skills from the rank of Scout to First Class as well as other fun, exciting and teamwork focused events. 

Troop sponsored Arrow of Light Scouts are invited to join the festivities during the day on Saturday, All AOL Scouts MUST be accompanied by their Adult Partner.  Please arrive and checked in by 8:30AM on Saturday. Arrow of Light Scouts can participate and camp at a unit coordinated campout with a Scouts BSA troop they are eligible to join. They must attend as an Arrow of Light den/patrol under the supervision of two deep leadership from their Arrow of Light den/patrol or pack.  All Cub Scout camping requirements still apply, including the Arrow of Light den/patrol must have a BALOO trained adult leader in attendance and all of Scouting’s Youth Protection policies apply.  The Arrow of Light Scout’s parent or legal guardian(s) may attend with the Arrow of Light den/patrol and their child, either alongside the two-deep leadership or as part of it if they are registered with the pack.

Pioneering, Orienteering, Fire Making, Knot Tying, Tent Relays, First Aid Relays, Dutch Oven Bake-off, Car Show Judging,

We will also be holding a Classic Car Show on Saturday.  Do you have a vehicle pre-1970 that you want to show off?  All Car Show registrants will receive lunch as part of their entrance fee.  $15 for car show only, $5 if registered for Camporee (not subject to early bird discounts).  Awards will be determined based on number of entries.  Plan to arrive no later than 10AM on Saturday Sept 27th.  Registered Scouters with current YPT/SYT required.

Camporee Registration Fees:
$35 per Scout
$35 per Adult
$20 per AOL and their Adult Parter

Early discount of $5 if registered prior to September 1st at midnight

Car Show Registration Fees:
$15 per entry if not registered for Camporee
$5 per entry if registered for Camporee

NO WALK-INS ACCEPTED

Registration Deadline Friday September 19th at Midnight

All Leaders and Adults must have current YPT/SYT along with their medical forms.
