Junior & Teen Sailing, Level 2 PM (Ages 10 to 17) **CANCELLED**

Event Details

In this INTERMEDIATE class, you will refine your boat handling skills in increased wind conditions while improving your communication and sportsmanship. Students will sail with partners in a RS Quest or CFJ Sailboat. With the fundamentals down, students will learn more advanced techniques like roll tacking, refined tacking and jibing, and improved sail trim. Be ready for fun on the water games such as boat ball tag, sailboat basketball, rubber duck hunt, and more!

Participants will receive a sailing workbook to track completion of all of the sailing skills required to complete Level 2. This workbook will be kept at NSB until the last class of this Level 2 session. Students who complete all of the Level 2 skills will receive a certificate of completion. Students who still need to spend more time on completing Level 2 skills are encouraged to take Level 2 Sailing one more time to master these more advanced techniques in order to participate in our higher level sailing programs.

PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of Sailing 1 class or equivalent. Mastery of Level 2 skills is required to progress to the JV or Varsity Sailing Teams and or Big Boat Sailing.

This session runs from 1pm to 4:30pm on Saturday, March 8th, 15th, 22nd, & 29th.

Please remember to check the attachments for additional details before your class begins. BSA medical form AB is required and must be turned in at check-in.

**Participants must be able to attend all 4 sessions**
