This fall, the Tri-Trails District is bringing together two of our favorite events into one unforgettable adventure:

Jurassic Chuckwagon Adventure Day

Travel back in time where the Wild West meets the Jurassic Era! Your Cub Scout will spend the day exploring a frontier filled with towering dinosaurs, exciting challenges, hands-on activities, and plenty of Scouting fun.

 

BRING: (See Leader's Guide for full detailed list of what to bring)

• Water bottle, sunscreen, jacket
• Sack lunch
• Change of clothes & shoes may be needed

Before you come – your pack will need to create your own cardboard dinosaur that can be attached to your chuck wagon. You should be able to attach your Jurassic sized decorated cardboard dino to the side of your chuckwagon.

• Dino Expedition – Excavate fossils and discover prehistoric treasures.
• Chuckwagon Challenge – Test your pioneer skills with fun frontier games.
• Raptor Range – Try your aim at Archery.
• Triceratops Target Trail – BB Gun shooting sports.
• Fossil Hunt – Search for ancient clues hidden throughout camp.
• Volcano Obstacle Trek – Climb, crawl, and race through Jurassic obstacles.
• Chuckwagon Cooking Skills & Snacks – Enjoy tasty treats around the chuckwagon.

• Lion Cubs through Arrow of Light Scouts
• Families interested in joining Scouting
• Friends are welcome to attend!

Scouts will have opportunities to complete Cub Scout Adventures for advancement while enjoying a day packed with outdoor excitement, teamwork, and imagination.

Come dressed for adventure (class B) and be prepared to travel back millions of years...with a stop in the Old West along the way! Whether you're tracking dinosaurs through prehistoric forests or helping protect the chuckwagon from hungry T-Rexes, this is one adventure your Cub Scout won't want to miss.
