Fall Color Hike at Camp Nicol

Adventure is Calling!

Gather your family or your entire Pack and head to Camp Jack Nicol near Red Feather Lakes for an unforgettable day in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, where the fall colors are at their spectacular peak!

Spend the day exploring nature, hiking scenic trails, playing games, and making memories that will last a lifetime.

What to Expect

• Self-guided hikes for every skill level—from beginner explorers to experienced adventurers
• Self-led games and activities for the whole family
• Incredible mountain views and amazing opportunities for family photos
• Every registered participant (ages 5+) receives a commemorative event patch!

Event Details

• Check-in begins: 9:00 a.m.
• Hikers should plan to leave by: 3:00 p.m.
• Cost: $7 per person (ages 5 and older)
• Who can attend: Cub Scouts, families, and Packs

Your outdoor adventure may even help your Scout complete advancement requirements while having fun! 

What to Bring:

• Lunch and snacks
• Filled water bottles (potable water is available on-site for refills)
• Comfortable hiking shoes or boots
• Layers—mountain weather can change quickly and is usually cooler than in town
• A current Annual Health and Medical Record (Parts A, B1, and B2) for every attendee (including adults!)

The camp Trading Post will also be open for small purchases.
