Cub Fun Day: Dino Discovery- Casper

Step back in time for a prehistoric adventure your Cub Scouts won’t forget!
Join us for a full day of hands-on fun, outdoor exploration, and dino-sized excitement.
This one-day experience packed with learning, laughter and prehistoric fun begins with a private tour of the Tate Geological Museum, then a short hike to the Casper Service Center for more Dino-fun. Scouts are welcome to invite non-Scout friends to register as well!
Who:
Adventure West Council Cub Scouts and their friends, entering grades 1-5 for the 2026-2027 school year!
When:
Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 9AM to 3:30 PM
Check In from 8:30AM-9AM at the Tate Geological Museum
Where:
Check in at the Tate Geological Museum at Casper College, 2332 Lisco Dr, Casper, WY. 82601
Casper Service Center, 3939 Casper Mountain Road, Casper, WY. 82601
Cost:
$25 per child, registration closes Wednesday June 3rd
- No fee for adult chaperones
- Parents of youth of all ages who are not currently registered Scouts must register and stay to chaperone their children.
- Parents/guardians of registered Kindergardners & 1st graders (Lions & Tigers) must stay at the event to accompany their children.
- Registered Cub Scouts in second through fifth grade may be accompanied by an adult chaperone at a 1:4 ratio. Please work with your Pack to ensure you have registered adults to chaperone your Scouts appropriately.
- Everyone attending will need to bring an Annual Health & Medical Record parts A, B1, B2 with them (including adults)
Activities include:
- Archery & BB Guns
- Fossil Dig
What to bring:
- Sack Lunch
- Water Bottle
- Sunscreen
- Jacket & hat
Each Scout will head home with:
- Dino Discovery Patch
- Fossil Keepsake
- And plenty of new friends!
