This hands-on course provides adult Scouts BSA leaders with the practical skills they need to lead Scouts in outdoor activities. Upon completion, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic outdoor skills required to obtain First Class rank.

Scoutmaster Position-Specific training should be taken before this course, online at the BSA Learn Center (www.my.scouting.org). Both courses are required to be a "position-trained" SM or ASM.

Training will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, and end at 4 p.m. on Saturday, including overnight. 

Registration fee is $30 and includes meals.

Bring a Annual Health and Medical Record Parts AB (AHMR) with you.

Participants will need to bring their own camping equipment: tent, sleeping bag, pad, adequate clothing for the weather.

Additional gear that will be helpful: mess kit, camp chair, sunglasses, camera, and a notebook with pen or pencil.

Participants limited to 24.  Registration will close April 10th.
