    Registration Requirements
    1. Online Registration

Complete an online registration on this site for each person attending the camp. It is recommended that one Unit leader submits the registration for all Scouts attending with their Unit, however this is not required. This can be done manually or through the Parent Portal (see attachments for more information).

Each youth attending will need to pay a deposit of $100 by April 28, 2026 at 23:59 JST. After this date, full payment must be made when registering.

Monthly payments may be selected. Full payment will be due on May 18, 2026

    2. Preferred vs Official Name

Please input the preferred name you would like on your name tag in the fields titled “First Name” and “Last Name”.

Adults, please put your official name, the name listed on your passport, in the “Official Name” field.

    3. Gate Access (Tama Hills Entry)

Since Tama Hills is a U.S. Air Force installation, all attendees must meet base access requirements.

Anyone 18+ without a DoD ID card must submit a copy of the photo page of their passport for screening by Yokota AFB Security.

Scouts who fall under Third Country National (TCN) are also required to submit a copy of their photo page of their passport. During registration, you will be asked what country your passport is issued from. After April 28, 2026, any youth who falls under the TCN category will receive an email from the Camp Director requesting a submission of the passport page. Please respond to this request as quickly as possible to ensure your information is submitted in time.

    Registration deadlines to remember:

    • April 28, 2026 – Individuals from countries other than Japan and the US.
    • May 18, 2026 – All DoD ID holders and individuals with Japanese or US passports.
      • Late Fee: If you have a DoD ID, you can still register up until June 1, 2026 . This will incur an additional $50 fee and T-Shirt size is not guaranteed.

These deadlines are required to allow proper vetting and background checks. If you have questions regarding TCN countries or any other items, contact Brynlee Barrett (brynlee.barrett@scouting.org) as soon as possible.

Access is not guaranteed. You will be informed as soon as possible if we are unable to secure your access.

    4. Medical Forms & Activity Consent Forms

Each participant (youth and adult) will need to complete an Activity Consent Form and Medical Form (Parts A,B,C), which requires a doctor’s visit. These forms will be needed by your Scoutmaster during check-in. Please be sure to get them to your Scoutmaster as early as possible.

    5. Merit Badge Counselors
We are currently looking for merit badge counselors! When registering as an adult participant, please select the merit badges you are able to teach, and the ones you’d be willing to be a secondary counselor for.

All Merit Badge classes and activities are subject to change based on the availability of qualified adult leaders and volunteers.

    Programming
Camp Okami offers a full week of merit badges, patrol activities, and leadership development opportunities.

Sign up for Merit Badges is on a first come first serve basis. Classes are limited and may include an additional cost. Merit Badge fees must be paid according to published payment deadline, May 18, 2026.

All Merit Badge classes and activities are subject to change based on the availability of qualified adult leaders and volunteers.
