Camp Franken-Science Worth Ranch - Updates Participant Guide posted in attachments.

Scouts will live out the role of a Mad Scientist on this Cub Scout Family weekend camp-out! Engage in shooting sports activities such as BBs and Archery, create custom leatherwork projects, plus get elbow-deep in STEM activities in our mysterious Laboratory of Insanity, muahahaha!

T-shirts can be picked up in the trading post!

All Participants & Staff need to have Medical Form Parts A & B completed and on file with the unit leader at the event.

Volunteers: Would you like to be part of the experience? Scouts BSA & Scouters can Register as Event Staff, to help create a memorable experience for our Cub Scout youth and families. The volunteer/staff registration fee includes meals and the option to receive an event t shirt at a discounted price.

Activities: The activities begin at 10:00 a.m. and close at 4:00 p.m. Your family/pack is free to go to whichever activities they choose - there is no set rotation.

Meals: Meal Tickets are an optional $20 add-on for this event. If you do not register for the meal ticket, please bring your own food and cooking equipment for the weekend. Meal Ticket cut off is 10/20/23 at Midnight.

Meals served at this event with meal ticket:

Saturday: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Sunday: Continental breakfast

Campfire: There will be a campfire on Saturday night at the council ring.  Packs or Dens will be given the chance to perform a skit, song, or story.  All performances must be approved by the event director prior to campfire.

Chapel: Remember that a Scout is reverent and respects the rights of others to their religious beliefs.  Chapel is a nondenominational socially distanced service at 9:00 a.m. Please contact the event coordinator if you would like to administer a chapel service for the camp.

Departure: Time to head home!  Everyone should police each campsite before leaving.  Remember that a scout is clean and always leaves a campsite cleaner than when they found it.  Trash must be packed out.  Camp closes at 10:30am, if you plan to stay longer, please clear this with the staff and the Ranger.

Camping: Camping will be assigned by unit based on registration. If you plan on camping Friday night, it will probably be dark by the time you arrive. Please bring lanterns and flashlights to help you set up camp.

Vehicles: Trailers may be dropped in campsites. No other vehicles will not be allowed to drive to campsites to unload or load gear. They must park in the parking lot, and you must bring a wagon or haul your gear by hand.

Prospective Youth: Scouts and Scouters, invite your friends to this event! We want you to share the fun with everyone to get them interested and involved in the Boy Scouts of America! Prospective Youth get the same experience as their friends, and there is no pressure to join – just to have fun!

*Must register before 9/26 to recieve a 2023 event patch.*
