Since 1929, Worth Ranch has been the heart of Scouting excellence, nestled in the stunning landscapes of Palo Pinto County. Here, history and adventure go hand in hand, offering a one-of-a-kind experience that will leave your Scouts with stories to tell and memories to cherish.

- Historic Wonders: Explore our iconic stone and petrified wood structures, and stroll through the vibrant parade ground where history meets adventure.

- Thrill-Seeker’s Paradise: Climb the rugged cliffs of our natural rock Climbing Garden, feel the thrill of skiing down our artificial ski hill, or conquer the Brazos River with an exciting canoe or kayak journey.

- Breathtaking Views: Hike up Kyle Mountain for a panoramic vista that’s nothing short of spectacula - see the sunrise and join the Kyle Mountain Sunrise Club!

- Splash and Play: Cool off in one of our two sparkling pools, or dive into friendly competitions like water basketball and volleyball. In the Brazos River, paddle around on canoes, kayaks, and stand up paddleboards!

- ATV Program: Rev up the excitement with our ATV Adventure Program! Scouts 14 and over and Adults can now explore rugged trails and hidden corners of Worth Ranch on thrilling off-road rides. Perfect for adding an extra dose of adventure to your camp experience. Get ready to hit the trail!

- Snow Sports Program: Experience the thrill of skiing like never before on our unique artificial ski hill! Perfect for summer fun, Scouts 13 and over can enjoy this innovative slope that offers the excitement of skiing, snowboarding, and sledding in the heat of the Texas summer. Don’t miss your chance to conquer the slopes and create unforgettable memories!

- Evening Delights: Gather around the campfire for the best campfire programs, where camaraderie and adventure light up the night. Enjoy the welcoming opening campfire, have your unit plan a skit to perform for the families on Thursday night, and celebrate your accomplishments at the closing campfire!

- Refuel in Style: After a day of epic adventures, enjoy delicious meals in our air-conditioned Duncan Dining Hall, perfect for satisfying those hearty appetites! For a boost during the day, check out our Trading Post stocked with fantastic snacks and beverages!

Maverick Scout Program

Can’t make the camp week with your unit? Need to get more merit badges before your next rank and have a spare week in the summer? Want to do the Brazos River Canoe Trek AND a week of Traditional Camp? Send your Scout as a Maverick Scout to join another unit and earn extra merit badges. Special Programs and Incentives:

- AOL Crossover: Transitioning to a new troop? We’ll honor the fee rate your troop earned with its registration/deposit if you camp with your new troop. Make sure the transfer is complete within 30 days of joining!

- Camperships: Need financial assistance? Longhorn Council offers in-council camperships covering up to 50% of the registration cost. Find the form under the Attachments heading and contact us with any questions!

- New Unit Perks: Newly established units in Longhorn Council get the Early Bird Rate if they register within 60 days of their charter date. Register early and save!

- Incentives Galore:

  - Free Leader Slots: Enjoy 1 free leader slot per 10 youth registered, or 2 free slots if it’s been over 10 years since your last camp visit.

  - Merit Badge Counselors: Registered counselors who help with the program may receive a free leader slot. Request approval by April 20, 2025.

We strive to make our camp accessible for everyone. For information on dietary, medical, and behavioral accommodations, or to discuss specific needs, reach out to the Camp Director. Note that due to terrain, our camp is not very wheelchair friendly.
