Fish-0-Ree 2025 at Camp Tahuaya! 

Mark Your Calendars:

- January 17 & 19: Troops, Crews, Posts, & Ships 
- January 24 & 26: Cub Scout 

Ever dreamed of spending a day on the water with a fishing rod in hand? Your chance is here! Dive into the fun at Camp Tahuaya’s Fish-0-Ree, where our spring-fed lake will be stocked with Rainbow Trout straight from Missouri!

What’s in Store:

- Catch and Keep: Reel in up to 6 Rainbow Trout per person. No limit on Bluegill, Bass, or Sunfish!
- Fishing License: We’ve got you covered for the day.
- Friendly Reminder: Be courteous to your fellow Scouts and help us keep the lake pristine—leave it better than you found it!

Gear Up:

- Hooks: Bring #10, #12, or #14 single or treble hooks.
- Rods: Light 6' or longer rods rated for 4 LB to 10 LB line (2kg to 5kg) with 4 LB–5 LB test line. Shorter rods can be tricky to cast.
- Bait: PowerBait or mini marshmallows in various colors work great for Trout!

Scouting Opportunities:

- Fishing Advancement: Want to earn some fishing advancement badges? Print out the attached workbooks, complete what you can, and bring them along for the weekend.

Registration Info:

- Choose Your Day: Sign up to fish on either Saturday or Sunday. Camping is open all weekend, so choose your fishing day and enjoy the entire weekend with us!
- Limited Spots: Registration is first come, first served. Secure your spot now!

Volunteer Opportunities:

- Help Out: If you're interested in assisting Scouts with fishing, email us at Dennis.Elliott@Scouting.org.

What to Bring:

- Meals & Water: Pack enough food and drinks for the day.
- Weather Gear: Dress for the weather and don’t forget sunscreen.
- Fishing Gear: Poles, bait, tackle, and folding chairs.
- Flashlights: Fishing starts at 6 AM—be ready!
- Cooler: To take home your catch.
- Medical Forms: Ensure all participants and staff have completed Medical Form Parts A & B, available with the unit leader.
