Putting FUN Back into Our Cub Scout Resident Camps at the Lake of the Ozarks Scout Reservation

Join us this summer for a Cub Resident Camp experience like never before!

Summer camp is undeniably the highlight of a Cub Scout's year, and this summer at the Lake of the Ozarks Scout Reservation promises to be one for the books! We've RE-IMAGINED our approach to resident camps, ensuring that FUN, adventure, and learning go hand in hand. With an array of all-new programs designed just for our Cub Scouts, each visit to camp will be a unique experience brimming with opportunities for FUN,  growth and camaraderie.

At the heart of this year’s offerings is our commitment to family, rank,  and age-appropriate activities. Whether your Cub Scout is a young Tiger or an enthusiastic Webelos, there is something for everyone. From nature hikes and crafts that ignite creativity to team-building exercises and water games that foster friendship, we have tailored experiences that align with the ranks of our scouts. This means that parents can rest easy knowing their scouts are engaged in meaningful activities that also promote rank advancement!

Family time has always been an essential component of the Cub Scout experience, and we’ve woven it seamlessly into our camp schedule. This addition allows families to bond through shared adventures. Families can explore the beautiful surroundings of the Lake of the Ozarks Scout Reservation together, participate in FUN, interactive games, or simply enjoy each other’s company around a cozy campfire. The blend of family involvement and Cub Scout adventures creates memories that last a lifetime.

One of the most exciting aspects of our camp is that every year brings a fresh set of experiences. As we embrace this new theme and activities, returning campers can look forward to discovering new skills while making connections with fellow scouts. The thrill of exploring the unknown ensures that no two summers are ever alike, fostering an ongoing sense of wonder and discovery among our scouts.

The LOTOSR Summer Camp Staff is committed to providing the best possible program during your unit’s week of camp. Our goal is to be friendly and responsive to the needs of your unit, and to set an excellent example of what Scouting should be to all those attending camp. Dates for 2025 Cub Scout Summer Camp

Cub Akela Family Camp: July 14-16, 2025

Cub Adventure Camp: July 14-17, 2025 (Optional 4th Night Available)

Webelos Camp: July 14-18, 2025 

Arrow of Light Camp: July 14-18,  2025

Cub Akela Family Camp offers a terrific three day/two-night program for Cubs of all ages. Unlike our standard summer camp programs, which are centered around a Scout's Troop, Pack, or Den, this program is designed to deliver FUN for your WHOLE FAMILY. You will enjoy wonderful meals; spacious campsites; private, family-friendly bathroom and shower facilities; and amazing program opportunities! Participants choose from a wide variety of activities that you can do as a family. If you have more than one child attending, don't worry we have programmed in time for the entire family to be together! Cub scouts will still enjoy the pack and den experience of the other camps by participating in rank appropriate adventures each day during scheduled program in the morning, but the rest of the day is "choose your own adventure."  This camp promises FUN for the entire family! 

Cub Adventure Camp is our four-day, three-night Cub Scout camping program (With an option to stay another night) designed specifically for Tigers Through Bears and will run concurrently with the other cub scout Camp programs – Scouts will pick up where Cub Akela Family Camp left off and dive right into activities and Cub Adventures that continue to focus on FUN first.   This camp promises a week of FUN, confidence building and plenty of opportunities to work on Cub Scout Adventures to help out with rank advancement!

Webelos Camp is a five-day, four-night camp complete with activities focused on FUN and the Webelos Adventures! Each day offers a variety of pre-programmed activities including Pellet Guns, slingshots, archery, hiking, games, canoeing, swimming, and fishing as well as other evening activities provided by our excellent staff. Webelos Scouts will enjoy the outdoors, play games, make new friends, learn Scouting skills, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Arrow Of Light Camp is a five-day, four-night camp complete with FUN advancement activities focused on the Arroe of Light Adventures and the slow transition to Scouts BSA! Each day of activities is not only focused on FUN and advancement activities, but promises confidence building and the development of a new found independence in preparation for the next level of scouting in scouts BSA.  Our program offers a variety of pre-programmed activities from aquatics, hiking, range activities and much, much more! Every AOL Scout will enjoy the outdoors, play games, make new friends, while learning Scouting skills, creating memories that will last a lifetime, and prepare them for the FUN adventures that lie ahead.

The costs for 2025 Cub Scout Summer Camp are as follows:

          Cub Akela Family Camp: 

• Early-bird fee (if paid in full by June 15th): $100.00 for youth, $75.00 for adults
• Standard fee: $110.00 for youth, $85.00 for adults

          Cub Adventure Camp:

• Early-bird fee: (if paid in full by June 15th): $175.00 for youth, $90.00 for adults
• Standard fee: $185.00 for youth, $100.00 for adults

          Webelos Camp:

• Early-bird fee: (if paid in full by June 15th): $200.00 for youth, $110.00 for adults
• Standard fee: $210.00 for youth, $120.00 for adults

Arrow Of Light (AOL) Camp

• Early-bird fee: (if paid in full by June 15th): $200.00for youth, $110.00 for adults

  Standard fee: $210.00 for youth, $120.00 for adults

Summer Camp Registration Timeline:

• January 1, 2025: Registration Opens 
• March 15, 2025: What are Cub Scout Camps & Why should we attend! for Parents and Leaders  via Zoom at 7:00 PM (Click Here for Zoom Link)

• June 15, 2025: Camper Savings - Early Bird Fee Ends
• July 1, 2025: Registration closes and full balances are due 

Cancelation/Refund Policy:

Before the June 15th Camper Savings Day, all fees other than the $25 per person deposit, are refundable and transferable. Please check your Scouts’ prior commitments to family vacations and other summer activities before June 15th. After the June 15th Camper Savings Day, the following policy applies:

Refund requests MUST be submitted in writing to the Camp Director before departing from camp. A unit leader or Scout may request a refund of the fees under the following conditions ONLY:

• Illness or serious accident of Scout prevents their attendance at camp.
• Family illness or emergency prevents the Scout’s attendance at camp.

Camper fees are nontransferable between scouts or leaders.

Refund requests for a Scout or leader who changes their mind about attending, or decides to not attend for any reason other than those listed above, WILL NOT BE considered.

If the refund request is granted, the $25 deposit and an additional 25% camp readiness fee will be withheld; however, if your unit wants your refundable fees transferred to your unit Scout Shop account, the readiness fee will be reduced to 15% (available for Great Rivers Council units only). Scouts leaving camp early will not be eligible for partial refunds.  Refund requests submitted after leaving camp will not be honored.
