Earn the Cybersecurity Merit Badge – Thursday, May 21 at 6:00 PM

Join us for a Cybersecurity Merit Badge program on Thursday, May 21, from 6:00–8:00 PM at The Browning School, Commons Room, 337 E. 64th St., NYC.

Speakers and presenters include Antonio del Rosario (Merit Badge Counselor and GNYC Board Member), cybersecurity attorney Kenn Kern, and Browning AI & Cybersecurity Club founders Alessandro Colon and Eagle Scout Leonardo del Rosario. The program will explore cybersecurity, AI, digital ethics, online safety, cyber law, and careers in the field.

This session will help fulfill several Cybersecurity Merit Badge discussion requirements related to cyber threats, personal protection, ethics, digital responsibility, and cybersecurity careers.

Prerequisites:
Scouts should come prepared with a basic understanding of cybersecurity, examples of common cyber threats (phishing, scams, malware, identity theft), and one example of a cyber incident or online scam they have seen or heard about.

All are welcome, but must  RSVP to adelrosario@bhsusa.com and be able to self-dismiss afterward. Please arrive promptly to earn the Merit Badge. Scouts should attend in full Class A Field Uniform and bring Blue Cards.
