What is a Cub World Beyond Rank Kit?

The Rank Kit is a box containing all the items needed to complete a Cub Scout Rank from beginning to end. It is full of leader instructions, cool supplies and fun activities for a Cub Scout/Webelos to complete each required adventure advancement  plus 1 pre-selected elective advancement so your Cub Scout can earn their Den rank!

There is a specific box available for each Dean to earn their Rank. Each Rank Kit is for one Cub Scout.  The box includes individual packets for each adventure advancement.  In each packet there is a Den Leader/Parent Guide with step by step instructions and online resources to use and share with your Cub Scouts. Each packet also contains the supplies, materials and fun work sheets for each Cub Scout to complete the adventure advancement.

What Ranks will be covered?

Rank Kits are available for Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos and Arrow of Light Dens. Each Rank Kit also includes guides for earning Cyber Chip and the Bobcat Rank.

Can a Pack Purchase the Boxes for their unit?

Each box is for one Scout, thus we encourage Packs purchase a Rank Kit for everyone in their Dens. The Rank Kits are designed to provide a cost savings to your unit as they contain the necessary supplies for your Scout to earn each adventure advancement. If your Pack purchases 5 or more Rank Kits of the same Den, you receive an 18% discount on those Rank Kits for that Den. Most Dens hold at least 20 meetings in a year. This puts the value of the box at less than $3 a meeting. Even if you only buy 4 boxes, your cost is only $3.25 a meeting.

Can these Kits be used at Den meetings or virtual Den meetings?

Yes, each Rank Kit box contains individual packets for each Cub Scout adventure advancement for that rank. These packets are created so a Den Leader can follow the instructions for each required activity while each Scout has the supplies and resources they need during either an in person or virtual Den Meeting.

Can these Kits be used by families?

The Rank Kit is designed so a parent/guardian can easily follow the instruction in the leader guides to complete each adventure advancement with their Scout.  No Scouting background is needed.

How about the outdoor stuff?

In addition to the Rank Kit boxes we are excited to offer Cub Scout Outdoor Family Days. These days cover the outdoor aspects of the Cub Scout program and include fun camp activities like Archery, BB’s and Fishing. Each Cub Scout Outdoor Family Day has a theme – for instance Outdoor Cooking Day. During this day we cover the Cub scout cooking basics and fire building. These Family Days are scheduled at both Alpine Scout Camp & William H. Pouch Scout Camp on alternating Saturdays. Our volunteers are hard at work planning these adventures days. We will have more information about them later this month. 

What is the cost of the Kits?

Each Rank Kit box is $55 which does not include shipping. To avoid shipping charges, you can pickup the box at Alpine Scout Camp or William H. Pouch Scout Camp. We are also coordinating with our field team to work on pickup locations in our boroughs. If you need your boxes shipped, there is a $10 additional shipping charge per box and it will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail. If your Pack purchases 5 or more Rank Kits from the same Den, you will receive an 18% discount off all of your Rank Kits for that Den.  Most Dens hold at least 20 meetings in a year. When will the Kits be delivered or available for pickup?

We are following the Cub Scout motto and doing our best to ship your orders out the week of October 5th.The Rank Kits will arrive the week of October 12th.  If you selected a pickup location, we will notify you when & where that will be.

How about Rank Adventure Electives?

Each Rank Kit includes 1 pre-selected  Adventure Elective which is required to earn that Rank. For an additional fee, à la carte Adventure Elective add-ons are avialable. You will be able to add a selection of Adventure Electives to your Kit for each rank.  These Adventure Electives packets will be around $5 each.

How about other Add-ons?

We hope to also offer you other items like the Cub Scout Den Hand Book & Pinewood Derby Cars to be purchased for an additional cost.  Stay tuned for future announcements
