Description: The Range & Target Activities Committee of Greater New York Council’s, in cooperation with members of its Range & Target Sports Association, is pleased to announce its 18th annual Firearms Instructor Training Weekend.Training will lead to becoming an NRA certified Rifle or Shotgun Instructor. A Basic Instructor Training Course (BIT), which is required for all new instructors, and instructors who have not
taken a BIT course within the last two years, will also be conducted on these weekends.

Additionally, we will be conducting, as required by the NRA, a Basic Rifle OR Shotgun course, via Zoom presentations prior to our weekend.
This training is mandatory to become an instructor.

Our classroom training will be conducted in the Health Lodge. This is also where some of you will bunk, and all of our meals, with the exception of our Saturday night banquet, will be served.
