Heart of WV District Klondike Derby

Event Details

HEART OF WV DISTRICT

KLONDIKE DERBY

DODDRIDGE COUNTY PARK | JAN 21-23, 2022

The Annual Klondike Derby is upon us! The Klondike Derby takes us back to the days of sled racing and the primitive survival. Patrols from across the Heart of WV District will compete and solve problems using their Scout skills, spirit, and teamwork. Larger troops are encouraged to field multiple patrols to ensure equitable competition.

Each patrol will be required to field a sled, on which they will keep their gear. Instructions for building a klondike sled can be found in the attachments section. There may be some available to borrow from neighboring units.

Camping: Each patrol who camps overnight will receive 10 bonus points! Please indicate on your registration whether your patrol(s) intent to stay overnight or if they will be checking in Saturday morning.

More information coming soon! Keep an eye out on this page and your email inbox for more details as they become availalbe, such as schedule, Leaders' Guide, Patrol Scoresheets, and more!

Lunch on Saturday will be provided to participants. All other meals are the responsibility of the troops/patrols, so plan accordingly!
