CAMPFIRE AND FIREFLIES

Sandscrest Scout Reservation | July 16th, 2025

Join us for a reverse campfire complete with S'Mores and songs as we await the arrival of the fireflies from the woods into the field. Each participant is asked to bring their own jar, to capture their own "sample" of fireflies they catch. Each scouts  "sample" will be added to an accumulated total tin a tower of light given off by the fireflies. The tally will be reported to scientists who will use it to determine the health of the firefly population.
