AOL - TRAIL TO TROOP EXPERINCE

Arrow of Light Scouts are invited to join us for Trail to Troop, a special weekend designed to help Scouts discover what Scouts BSA is all about. The AOL year is an exciting time, but it moves quickly — this event gives Scouts the opportunity to complete requirements, explore new adventures, and connect with troops from across the council before taking the next step in their Scouting journey.

Throughout the weekend, Scouts will have the chance to meet Scouts BSA troops and experience the activities, traditions, and adventures that make each troop unique. Troops will showcase what they do best, from climbing walls and Dutch oven cooking to fishing, high-tech outdoor adventures, and other exciting electives and skills.

But Trail to Troop is more than just a showcase — it’s a chance to spend time with troops, make new friends, try new things, and experience the fun and fellowship of Scouts BSA.

Scouts and leaders are invited to camp and experience the full troop camping experience. Spend two nights around the campfire, learn what troop life is like, and see why Scouts BSA is the next great adventure.

The trail to your next adventure begins at Trail to Troop!

WHO: 

• Arrow of Light (AOL) Scouts
  • This weekend celebrates you! In just a few short months, BSA Scouts will be ready to welcome you into Troop! Meet them, make friends, and get introduced to Troop life!
  • Bring a non Scouting buddy for the day (Saturday Only) and give them a chance to experience the adventure of Scouting firsthand! (5th grade - 18 years old)
     
• Non-Scouts 5th grade to 18 Years Old (Saturday Only)
  • If you're interested in checking out everything Scouts BSA has to offer, we welcome you to join us for the day! Bring your adult and we'll see you there! 
     
• AOL Den Leaders
  • Trail to Troop is designed with your den in mind! Help your Scouts complete adventures, build excitement for crossover, and make connections that will help them take the next step with confidence. *Please ensure your pack is providing two deep leadership for activities and camping.
     
• Scouts BSA
  • Want to share what makes your troop special? Join us and showcase your activities, traditions, and adventures! Trail to Troop is a great opportunity to connect with AOL Scouts and welcome future members into the Scouts BSA family.
     

WHEN: October 23 - 25, 2026

• Weekend camping and Saturday Only option available.
• Saturday Only Option from 8:30 am - 3 pm for current and future Scouts.

FEES:

• Weekend: $30 Early-Bird (before Oct 2)   |   $40 Regular (after Oct 2)
  • Includes two nights of camping and four meals (Saturday lunch & dinner, Sunday breakfast and lunch)
     
• Saturday Only: $20 Early-Bird (before Oct 2)   |   $30 Regular (after Oct 2)
  • Includes lunch
     

REGISTRATION CLOSES: October 16, 2026

• Troops: Include one registration per Troop.  You will be assigned a campsite based on the number of attending and activities planned.  Please include your 2-3 preffered locations in your registration.
• AOL Scouts: Include one registration per Pack.  If your Pack is not attending, but your scout would still like to attend you may still register your AOL Scout and you will be paired with another Pack for the weekend.  
• Non-Scouts 5th grade to 18 Years Old: Use the registration link on this page to register.  You will be paired with another Pack on Saturday for the activities.
