FLAG RETIREMENT CEREMONY

Mountaineer Area Council will be hosting a Flag Retirement Ceremony on November 11, 2026 at Camp Mountaineer.  This event will be open to the public and is a great opportunity to participate in a service project!
 

WHO: All Scouts

• Scouts of all ages are encouraged to attend.
• The event is open to the public!  We encourage Scouts to invite their family, friends and a Veteran to join.
   

WHEN: November 11, 2026

• Ceremony will start at 10 AM but will be ongoing until we retire all the flags.
   

WHERE: Camp Mountaineer- Ojibwa Campsite
 

FEES: Free
 

REGISTRATION CLOSES: November 9, 2026

• Each Unit should submit one registration. 
• Include the estimated number of Scouts that will be attending.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

• Units are asked to attempt to carpool.  Please park at the Dining Hall and walk to Ojibwa.  Those with limited mobility may park in the loop but should leave room for cars to pass them.
