University of Scouting
University of Scouting is a supplemental training opportunity for all adult Scout leaders. It is the only time during the year where you can find, all in one place, the widest variety of training opportunities in all program areas (Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scouting). Whether you are new to the program or a veteran of many years, the University provides interesting courses in Cubbing, Scouts, Venturing, and Sea Scouting. Additionally, medical readiness courses such as Wilderness First Aid are available, and Den Chief Training is offered.
“When registering on-line, we highly recommend you review full course descriptions in the attached course catalog (or by clicking “View All Classes”) and use schedules on pages 17 and 18 to determine your class attendance strategy. If you are an instructor for a class, sign-up as a participant for that class to block your time, and let University leadership know that you are instructing. If you are signing up for Wilderness First Aid or Red Cross CPR/AED classes, there are online prerequisites for these courses, see UofS Catalog for details.”
