Skating Merit Badge will take place Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 12:00pm at the Scout Office. We will discuss the book portion of the badge, so please come prepared to discuss. At 12:45pm, we will depart for the Plex to start the skating portion of the badge; adults are encouraged to stay with their Scouts for the duration of the event. Before dropping your Scout off, you should ensure that there are enough drivers/seats for your Scout to be transported. Scouts will be responsible for fees associated with the Plex as follows:

Entrance Fee (bring your own skates) - $9
Entrance Fee and Quad Skates Rental - $12
Entrance Fee and In-Line Skates Rental - $14

Food and drinks at the rink are the responsibility of the Scout. 

This event is NOT intended to teach Scouts how to skate. Scouts should be able to skate when registering for this class. Completion of the Skating MB is at the discretion of the Merit Badge Counselor.

You will find the Skating Merit Badge worksheet attached. Please review all requirements before registering your Scout for this merit badge. After completing all Skating Merit Badge requirements, Scouts will be given the merit badge which is included in the $5 registration fee with the council.
