Come find out what Venturing is all about in the up coming Shooting Sports Expo! Learn how to properly use and clean different firearms as well as work on basic archery skills. 

This event will run from 9am - 4pm.  Scouts must bring a sack lunch, health forms parts A and B (with the section on the front indicating who can collect them) and a COVID-19 screening questionnaire.

Must be 14 - 21 years old to participate.

Morning 

Station 1: Small bore rifle shooting, e.g., single shot bolt actions and semi-automatics

Station 2: Basic pistol instruction

Station 3: Air rifle shooting

Station 4: Basic archery

Station 5: Cleaning and Maintenance of firearms

Station 6: Venturing Shooting Sports opportunities 

Afternoon 

Station 1: Larger caliber rifle shooting, e.g., AR-15, 30-30, 270, etc.

Station 2: Pistol shooting, e.g., 22LR target pistols, semi-automatics

Station 3: Air pistol shooting

Station 4: Advanced archery (targets set more in line with Venturing requirements)

Station 5: NRA Shooting Program

Station 6: Venturing Program Q&A

**Temperatures will be taken at check in and must be below 100.4°F for an individual to attend.  Please do not attend if you have had exposure to or displayed COVID-19 symptoms in the last two weeks.  Please consider not attending if someone in your household is considered to be in the high risk group for COVID 19 as defined by the CDC https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/need-extra-precautions/people-at-higher-risk.html.  All attendees over the age of 10 must wear a mask.  Please bring your own**”
