2023 LLD (Lodge Leadership Development)

The LLD Weekend is the Akela Wahinapay Lodge 232’s training weekend, where we focus on learning about the different types of leadership in the lodge and develop ideas and projects to enable and enhance growth within the Council and Lodge. This weekend is also a chance for lodge members to bond and get to know other members in the lodge.

The mission of the Order of the Arrow is to fulfill its purpose as an integral part of the Boy Scouts of America through positive youth leadership under the guidance of selected capable adults. The purpose of the Order of the Arrow is to recognize those who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives and through that recognition cause others to conduct themselves in a way that warrants similar recognition; promote camping, responsible outdoor adventure, and environmental stewardship as essential components of every Scout’s experience, in the unit, year-round, and in summer camp; develop leaders with the willingness, character, spirit and ability to advance the activities of their units, our Brotherhood, Scouting, and ultimately our nation; and to crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others.

So, if you are interested in growing within the Lodge, being an Officer, being an OA Troop Representative, being on the ceremony and/or dance team, or being an Allangomat, this will be a fun weekend of Training and Fellowship. I hope to see all Lodge members at the LLD Weekend. Remember, the Order of the Arrow is the Brotherhood of Cheerful Service!
