Guadalupe Mountains National Park-Service Project

Join us on National Public Lands Day on 9/23.
The project will involve removing the picnic tables from the Pine Springs Visitor Center parking area, a total of 5 tables, and obscuring all social trails leading to this area. This process will include using downed debris to cover the trails and minimal use of tools.
In addition, the removal of 4 picnic tables in McKittrick Canyon VC area & obscuring the social trails there.
Meet at Pine Springs Visitor Center, this is the parks main visitor center and headquarters.
Scouts can hike for free after the projects are finished!!!
Check in from 8-9am at the Pine Springs Visitor Center, located at 400 Pine Canyon Drive, Salt Flat, Texas 79847.
An estimated completion of service projects no later than noon!
Park will provide the tools. Wear work clothes, bring work gloves if you have them, and of course the scout essentials. Clothing should also be weather appropriate, sun protection and water are a must!!
No dogs allowed in the park
