Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills Mar 2020
The Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) course builds and expands on the concepts and themes introduced in Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training, and provides Scouters with the confidence to take youth into the outdoors.
“At least one adult on a pack overnighter must have completed Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation” - Guide to Safe Scouting
This training is highly recommended for all Cub Scout Leaders, and it is an optional requirement for a Den Leader if you are working on your Den Leader Training Award knot. This training will be a hands-on training experience for Cub Scout Leaders.
Uniform?
The official Boy Scout Leader uniform is recommended to be worn while taking the course.
Equipment?
All registered will receive a list of equipment and personal items necessary to bring via email. You will be required to furnish your own tent as you will be camping at the group campsites at Camp Tyler Francis.
Includes:
All course materials and handouts, Lunch, Dinner and Cracker Barrel Saturday as well as Breakfast Sunday.
Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and water will also be provided.
