Registration opens Feb 1, 2025

Camp all weekend or come for the day, Saturday, March 29, 2025 to enjoy a day full of science, technology, engineering, and math fun for all ages of Cub Scouts! 

Please read the STEMboree Participant Guide for more information. Last year’s guide provides a good idea of what to expect.

 

Registration fees

  • Registration fees for 2025 are to be determined.

 

Event Overview

  • Cubs Scouts may attend STEMboree with their families or dens or packs.
  • Location: Smilin V Scout Ranch, Liberty Hill, TX. See council for directions and maps (link).
  • STEM activities are all day Saturday, March 29, 2025.
  • Families may camp Friday evening through Sunday morning.
  • Saturday evening includes a campfire and astronomy star party weather permitting.
  • Cubs may sign up for the specific classes they wish to attend or can enjoy the free-time STEM activities. Activities include Nova or Cosmic Awards, Elective Adventures, Shooting Sports, and free-time STEM activities. Classes are selected via on the online registration form. After registering, you may change classes online or at event check-in as long as the class has space.

 

Checklist

  • Bring a paper copy of the BSA Medical form A&B for every participant.
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Camp chair
  • Book(s) to exchange with the Little STEM Library
  • If camping, backpack or wagon to transport camping gear. 

 

Guidelines

  • Each youth must have a designated responsible adult on site.
  • Lions, Tigers, and non-BSA-registered siblings must have a parent/guardian with them at all times.
  • BSA camping rules: All adults staying overnight must have a current Youth Protection Training certificate and must be registered with BSA in an adult fee-required position effective September 1, 2023. A limited exception is made for parents/guardians of Cubs.
  • All people on site must CHECK IN when arriving and  must CHECK OUT when leaving camp at any time for any reason.
  • No vehicles are allowed in camp. Bring a wagon or backpack to transport your gear from the parking lot.
  • Potable water and restroom facilities are available.
  • There is no dumpster at Smilin V. Please plan to pack out your trash.
  • If you need electricity overnight for health reasons (CPAP), please contact a CAC Staff member as soon as possible to make arrangements. 

 

Paperwork Needs

BSA camping rules: All adults staying overnight must have a current Youth Protection Training certificate and must be registered with BSA in an adult fee-required position effective September 1, 2023.

  • For every participant: bring a paper copy of your BSA Medical form parts A&B.
  • For every participant: bring a paper copy of your BSA registration for every participant. 
  • For all adults: bring a paper copy proof of unexpired YPT and your current BSA Leader Registration.
