Chisholm Trail - Trail to Troop

Event Details

Chisholm Trail Presents

Trail to Troop!

Calling all Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts! Join us at Camp Tahuaya for a fun-filled day of Scouting, adventure, and an exciting look at what life in a troop is all about.

Webelos and AOL event date: Saturday, October 24, 2026 8am check in - 6pm check out
Troop camping dates: Friday, October 23-Sunday, October 25, 2026 3pm check in -11pm check out

Who Can Attend?

Webelos and AOL Scouts in 4th and 5th grades may attend in either of these ways:

With a parent or guardian: Each Scout must remain with their accompanying adult throughout the event.

With their den: A den may attend with at least two registered adult den leaders. Dens bringing eight or more Scouts must have at least four registered adult leaders.

Webelos, AOL Scouts, and their accompanying adults will attend Saturday only. Troops are welcome to camp for the full weekend, from Friday through Sunday.

Important Adult Requirements

Here is the serious-but-important trail rule: Every attending adult must be a registered member of Scouting America and have current Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT).

This includes:

Parents and guardians

Den leaders

Troop leaders

Any other adult attending the event

These are Camp Tahuaya requirements, and registration and SYT completion will be verified. Please check your status before arriving so nobody gets stopped at the trailhead!

Medical Forms: Your Ticket to Adventure

Everyone attending - youth and adults - must bring completed Annual Health and Medical Record Parts A and B.

Camp Tahuaya requires these forms, and they will be checked during check-in and check-out. No medical forms means no event participation, so add them to your packing list now!

Before You Hit the Trail

Make sure your group has:

The correct number of registered, SYT-trained adults

Completed medical forms Parts A and B for every youth and adult

Saturday-only plans for Webelos, AOL Scouts, parents, guardians, and den leaders

Full-weekend plans for participating troops

Get ready to follow the trail, meet local troops, and discover your next great Scouting adventure!
