2026 Beach Sweep

We meet again for the second year at the Myrtle Beach Travel Park to celebrate this Palmetto Council tradition called Beach Sweep.

Along with spending an hour or so on Saturday morning cleaning the beaches as our amazing service project we also get to enjoy the many wonderful amenities of the MBTP!  These amenities include: an on-site grocery and gift shop, restaurant and snack bar, kids splash pool, 300ft lazy river, large 9000sqft outdoor pool, heated indoor pool, 17-acre freshwater lake, modern bathhouses, wi-fi, playground, arcade and additional recreational areas.

All Scouts and Scouters wishing to register MUST register with their Units (Pack, Troop or Crew) and each Unit MUST have a trained leader attending.

Register early between July 20th and August 21st for the cost of $185 per site for Friday and Saturday nights combined.  Each site can hold up to 8 persons if tents are spaced equally based upon a tent footprint of 10’x10’.  Each site contains a 6’x10’ covered shelter with a picnic table.  Only one vehicle will be allowed per site.  There will be additional parking areas. Check-in on Friday the 11th will run similar to 2025 with the exception that a Scouter representative will be at the guard house to assist with site instructions; from there each driver will proceed to the beach pavilion to be picked up by one of our golf carts that will escort you to your site(s).

Registration after August 21 will be at $200 per site.  Registration closes on September 4th.

Additionally this year we will have a few inter-Unit challenges such as tug-of-war and volleyball!  Get with your Units and start planning NOW for a terrific final outing of the beach season!  Remember plan to register early!
