2025 Fall IOLS Course - Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills

Time: Saturday 8:00 am - Sunday 12:00 pm

Participants are immersed in the Patrol Method in this hands-on training session. The goal of this course is to provide a working model of the Scout-led troop, learning many of the basic Scouting skills needed to attain the rank of First Class Scout. Adult leaders will experience skills instruction via the EDGE method in the context of a weekend campout with the troop, all wrapped up in plenty of Scout Spirit! This course is required of all direct contact leaders registered in Scouts BSA Troops in order to wear the Trained patch, and is a prerequisite for Wood Badge. This course is limited to 48 participants.
