The Scissortail District Eagle Board of Review is first step in getting a Eagle Service Project approved and the final step for young men and women to earn the Eagle Scout Rank. Scouts will need to schedule an appointment for a project review or their Eagle Board of Review. Appointments must be scheduled online https://scoutingevent.com/480-88763 and should not be made until the Scout has completed all the necessary paperwork. 

When a scout is needing the final Eagle Board of Review, the Eagle Scout Rank Application, Requirements 1-6 must be complete prior to arrival for the Board of Review. *Requirement 6, BSA Local Council Verification must be done at the Last Frontier Council office downstairs during the hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday-Friday, except major holidays, this verification takes 15-30 minutes..This must be completed before the Board of Review date; Scouts should plan to complete the process at least a few days early to ensure the Council verification person is available. The completed Eagle Scout project workbook, Statement of Ambition, sealed letters of reference (see note below), and Eagle Scout Application need to be turned in together at the Final Board of Review, these need to be the original documents. Once the Board of Review is successfully completed, the completed Eagle Scout Application with requirment 7 signed, must be turned into the Last Frontier Council, so that it may be sent to National for approval.

Special update from Guide to Advancement, January 2025:  The Scout must request letters of reference from four persons.  These may be Scout leaders, teachers, employers, coaches, other Scouts, etc. References do not need to be 21 or older. Parents and other relatives are strongly discouraged from serving as references. The current unit leader (Scoutmaster) and committee chair are not eligible to serve as references.

Scouts coming for a Project Review do not need to turn in anything early but they should take their original and 3 copies to their Eagle Scout Project Proposal review.
