Scouts and Adults can become Scuba Certified (PADI Certification) during this five day course (M-F) from 9am - 5pm. Scouts will also earn the Scuba, Geology, and Oceanography Merit Badges during the course. All participants will receive a mask, snorkel, gloves, and fins to keep. Participants will use the pool and the Camp Friedlander Lake. At the end of the week, the group will travel to an offsite location for their dives!

Required Paperwork:

In addition to the standard BSA Medical Form (Parts A, B, and C), please make sure to fill out the Scuba-Specific Medical Form, Liability Form, and Referral Form prior to arriving at camp. These can be found under the "Resources" tab as well as at https://danbeard.org/campforms. Please note that based on your answers to the Scuba-Specific Medical Form, it may require a physician's approval.

Standard Refund Policy

The Dan Beard Council will refund all but 20% of fees paid per participant for those requested no later than 30 days prior to arrival at camp. You may replace the name and information on a registration at no additional fee, but they must be of the same participant type (youth for youth and adult for adult).
