Eastern Spring Camporee
Scouts of the Eastern Council depart for their annual Spring Camporee, but as they travel begin a storm over takes the scouts and their leaders. Upon waking the scouts and their leaders have been transported 150 years into the past and wake up at a Civil War fort. These scouts will get to learn about what a typical Civil War soldier life is like during the war...."
Scouts will get to experience the daily routine of Civil War soldiers.
Experiences Include:
Infantry Drill, Guard Duty, Artillery Drill, Food of the period, Medicine and Surgery, Period Meal Contest, Period Baseball game And more!
All scouts and leaders are welcome to attend.
Cost:
$10.00/scout covers cracker-barrel, program materials, and patch (Regular Registration at $15.00 starts May 1)
$5.00/adult covers cracker-barrel, program materials, and patch
Registration Closes on the 7th of May at noon!
In conjunction with the Spring Camporee, there will be courses offered in BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation) and IOLS (Introduction to Outdoor Laders Skills)
