BALOO Training at Little Sioux Scout Ranch

Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orentation (BALOO)

This one-and-a-half-day course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for Cub Leaders interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities. BSA’s Cub Scout level camping policies will be taught along with the necessary tools to help your unit carry out a successful camping experience. ANY Pack Overnighter (not including District or Council sponsored events) REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF ONE adult participant who has completed BALOO training to be present at all times. BALOO training consists of an ONLINE PRE-REQUISITE component in addition to an overnight hands-on practical. The online prerequisite MUST be completed prior to attending the in-person class. See the attachment for how to navigate to the pre-requisite course. Course will be held at Little Sioux Scout Ranch, East Cabin, in conjunction with Wagon Wheel District Spring Camporee.
