"Heroes are Among Us"

Get ready for a high-adventure weekend where Scouts step into the role of real-life heroes! This action-packed camp will put essential Scouting skills to the test through hands-on Emergency Preparedness, First Aid challenges, and Search & Rescue missions.

Scouts will:

• Race in First Aid Relays to treat “injuries” under pressure.
• Navigate an orienteering Search & Rescue mission to locate a missing person using teamwork and problem-solving.
• Master Fire Safety Drills, including how to properly use a fire extinguisher and build a safe campfire.
• Learn what to do in the event of a wildfire and practice making quick, informed decisions.
• Crawl through a smoke-filled room to practice staying calm and safe in low-visibility emergencies.
• Tackle the “Hero’s Obstacle Course,” designed to build confidence, agility, and resilience.
• Discover Water Rescue basics and understand how to assist safely.
• Meet and learn from K9 units, exploring how trained dogs support rescue teams in the field.

This camp is all about courage, skill-building, and stepping up when it counts. Scouts will leave feeling more prepared—and more confident—than ever!
