Swift's Big Kick Off

Free camping weekend for your Crew and Ship!

Note: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, and cancellations affecting Scouting programs and camp availability, this program may be delayed or postponed.  

Join the Venturing and Sea Scout Officers Association and the Swift Staff for an exciting weekend.

We’ll be starting off the Swift Base season in style.

Friday night we will have some giant games to be played.

Giant Cards, Giant Twister, Giant Battleship, Giant Foosball, Giant Jenga, and finally Giant Cataan!! 

Saturday join us as we help to improve the Swift Base and setup some of the programs for the summer. Some of the items we’ll be doing include:

• Trail Building and Repair
• Painting
• Tent Leveling
• Some basic carpentry
• Dead tree removal
• And more projects TBD

Then after putting in some amazing projects, its time to try out some of the fun we’ve setup.  Mountain boards, waterfront,  boats, games, sports and more will all be available. Saturday night will be a Bonfire Celebration  with some great evening fun planned too.

Sunday, weather permitting Rock Climbing and Rappelling will be open for your unit.

Some limited Swift tents will be available for your unit to use.  Bring your own food, cooking gear, camping gear, and join in the fun.

Tools Needed:

• A lot: Earth moving stuff (trail building)-- Loppers, Shovels (garden and spade), garden rakes, leaf rakes, Bow Saw, Mattock (pick axe), gloves
• Some: Carpentry tools--Circular saw, drill, Ratchets
• Some: Painting tools -- Brushes, Roller handles, Roller covers
• A few: Chainsaws (BSA training required to operate)
