Who: Cub Scouts (Wolf, Bear, Webelos only) and Scout leaders
When: Saturday, December 12, 2020
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where: Virtually! Google Classroom and Zoom links will be provided.
Cost: $10.00 per youth with kit shipped. Includes: STEM U patch, and program materials provided in box.
Payment: Mastercard, VISA and Discover. Payments and registration will only be accepted online.
Registration Deadline: Sunday, December 6th at 11:59 pm or when capacity reached. Deadline for mailing kits will be December 6th.
This year Cub Scouts will be completing the Nova Wild Nova. Participants will take part in digital classrooms with leaders guiding Scouts through hands-on activities provided in a kit shipped to their home. To keep Scouts engaged and interested throughout the day Scouts will take part in “at-home challenges” that will get them up and away from their computers at during scheduled breaks. All challenges will follow the Live Stream theme.

12:20 - 1:15pm - ECOSYSTEM DIORAMA
1:30 - 3:00pm - MAINTAINING A HEALTHY ECOSYSTEM
Program will be focused on earning the Nova Wild Nova.
Sessions will cover science displays, activities, and videos to meet the requirements of the NOVA award. The Scouts will receive their advancement cards and event patches in the supplies kit.
For adults that can break away, we will have Nova Award Training for Counselors and Mentors at 1 p.m. on the same Zoom link. Please register for the course as an option for this event.
STEM University Rules and Regulations:
• All attending Scouters (Adults and Youth) should be in field uniform for the event.
• Attending leaders/parents may be asked to help with hands on activities and accessing Zoom links and Google Classroom
• Attending leaders may be assigned to a class or group to assist the instructor, and also help out as chat monitors.
